Shannon Colligan

Shannon is a long-time BlueStreak athlete and trainer. She is a graduate of Greenwich High School where she was a four year varsity starter for both soccer and lacrosse. She was an All-American soccer player and also holds the all time goals scored record for Greenwich High. She was a All-State player for lacrosse and also holds the all time assists record.


Shannon continued her athletic career playing both soccer and lacrosse at the University of Richmond as well as the University of Bridgeport, where she graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In her junior season, she finished 10th in the NCAA Division I for assists, which put her 2nd in the Richmond Spider's program history. During her senior season at UB, she helped the team make it to the NCAA Elite Eight. That season she was named to the All-East Region First Team and was selected for the All-East Region All Star Team.


Shannon specializes in speed, strength, and agility training for athletes of all ages and trains skill development for lacrosse and soccer players. She has also coached at the high school and club level for the last 3 years.

Desmond Hinds

Desmond has been training professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes for the past 7 years with BlueStreak. He graduated from Pace University with a B.S. in Business Management and an M.S. in Sports Management from Manhattanville College. Desmond was a 3-year starter on the football team at Iona College before finishing his career at Pace University.  Desmond also received invitations to several NFL and CFL tryouts after his collegiate career.


Desmond specializes in speed development, agility, footwork, change of direction, first step quickness, strength training, hand-eye coordination and plyometrics for all sports. He also works with football players on skill development.


Some notable athletes Desmond has trained include Jamie Loeb (Tennis Pro: world ranking 132), Jordan Lucas (Miami Dolphins), John Seter (University of Georgia), the National Chinese Women’s Hockey team, the CT Whale (WNHL), and Jhonny Arteaga (NY Redbulls).

Tre Gause

Tre has been training high school, and youth athletes for the past 2 years, including 1 year with BlueStreak. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in Health Promotion Studies and Exercise Science, concentrating on Wellness Management. While at WCSU, He competed on the baseball team as an outfielder and is currently playing on two premier adult baseball teams.


Tre works with athletes to help them develop their speed, agility, and strength and also works with baseball players on skill development. He holds a Level 1 Certification through Athletic Republic.

Adam Delgado

Hockey Director

Adam has been training professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes for the past 10 years, all of them with BlueStreak. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Communications. Throughout Adam's playing career, he competed in the NEPSAC, EJHL, as well as two schools in the Hockey East.

 

Adam is an Athletic Republic Level 3 Performance/Hockey Trainer, as well as a USA Hockey Level IV coach. Adam coaches Tier 1 Elite hockey for the Mid Fairfield Jr Rangers. Both his '05 and '07 teams are ranked in the top 5 in the nation for their respective birth years.

Katie Mazin

Headquarters Facility Director
 
Katie has been training professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes for the past 7 years, 6 of them with BlueStreak. She graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. While at Sacred Heart Katie competed on the Division 1 Field Hockey team.

 

Katie is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) as well as a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200). She trains the body and the mind and believes that if an athlete can learn to control their breath during movements, their potential is unlimited.


Katie specializes in functional strength training, corrective exercises and mobility, and speed development.

Jenna Gentile

Jenna joined the BlueStreak team in June 2018 after spending the first half of the year with BlueStreak as a college intern. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors degree in Health Promotion Studies. While at Western Connecticut, Jenna was a 4-year letter winner on the Varsity Soccer team and won three Little East Conference Championships. Jenna is Level 1 certified through Athletic Republic and is pursuing her CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification. Jenna specializes in speed development, strength training, and soccer skills coaching.

Alex Joseph

Chelsea Piers Facility Director

Alex has been training professional, collegiate, high school, and youth athletes for the past 5 years at BlueStreak. He graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. While at Temple, Alex competed on the football team for 4 years. As one of the captains his senior year, Alex led Temple to their first bowl game in 25 years and 9-3 record. After college, Alex signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers. His NFL career ended in 2012 with the San Francisco 49ers. He also played in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Alex is now the Football Manager at BlueStreak working with local greats such as Vladamir Ducasse (Buffalo Bills), Tyler Matakevich (Pittsburgh Steelers), and Zach Allen (Boston College). He also works with notable athletes in other sports, including Tim Edmonds (Harvard lacrosse), Andrew Hatton (Michigan lacrosse), Olivia Jensen (Cornell lacrosse), Kate Fiore (Bucknell lacrosse), Christine Fiore (Navy lacrosse), Julia Cornacchia (Stanford rowing) and many more.


Alex specializes in sport specific plyometric, speed and strength training, general adult fitness and works with return to sport athletes. He is Level 2 certified through Athletic Republic.  Fun fact: Alex started playing football by an accident as a child, his favorite sport is soccer!
