Matthew W. Cole, President mcole@bluestreakst.com

Matt grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where he excelled in football, wrestling, and rugby. He was awarded numerous awards in football including First team All state, Defensive MVP and Team Captain for two years. Matt was the Utah 5A state wrestling champion and team wrestling captain for two years. Matt was a four-year starter and two year captain with the renowned Highland Rugby squad, which won four national championships and finished third in the High School World Cup in Zimbabwe, Africa. He was named team MVP and earned 1st team All American selection. He was invited to play rugby professionally abroad but decided to serve a two year service mission for his church to Sydney, Australia.

Before Bluestreak Matt was the assistant to the Vice President of Financial Investment’s at Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Markets Inc. He assisted the Vice President in developing good relationships with prospective clients and maintaining current customers. He helped implement creative ideas, and better methods to produce more revenues and to better serve his clients. In 2005 Matt co-founded a real estate LLC called Pounce Properties. Their Investment team developed raw land. They also bought and sold a number of properties.

Matt earned his Bachelors of Applied Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Marketing from Fordham University where he earned dean’s list honors. Matt was also named to the All Academic Patriot league honor roll. Matt played football for the University of Utah and Fordham University. As the starting weak side defensive end for Fordham, Matt was respected by his teammates for his strength, leadership, work ethic, and energy. Mr. Cole currently resides in Connecticut.

Josh Dionne, Director of Marketing jdionne@bluestreakst.com

Josh Dionne attended New England College where he completed a double major in business and sports recreational management. He is currently Bluestreak's Director of Marketing and also serves as one of our Athletic Republic level III certified trainers. While at New England College Josh excelled on the lacrosse field, earning all-conference honors 3 times and serving as team captain his junior and senior seasons. Josh had a particularly large impact at the face-off X, so much so that he was named team MVP his junior season. Prior to his joining the team at BlueStreak, Josh coached high school lacrosse in Massachusetts for two years while also working various lacrosse camps throughout New England.

Matt Stack, Vice President of Hockey Operations mstack@bluestreakst.com

Matt Stack played professional hockey in the United Hockey League with the Adirondack Ice Hawks, which is an affiliate team of the Phoenix Coyotes. His talent was received at New England College, when his coaches made him captain of both his lacrosse and hockey teams. While in college, he received the North-South All-Star award for lacrosse and the Division III senior All-star award for hockey. Matt’s success continued after college when he was the first round pick for the Miami Manatees, and was invited to play internationally against Italy and Germany’s elite teams.

Matt’s desire to work with young athletes in hockey and lacrosse makes him a valuable member of the BlueStreak team. He has trained hockey players for over ten years and was recently the head instructor at the Rinx hockey school in Long Island. Matt’s dedication to the hockey program at BlueStreak is the reason why it’s one of the best training programs in the Nation. With his continuing hard work and success, he plans to bring many more young athletes to their peak performance level.

Bryan Lane, Director of Hockey Operations bryan@bluestreakst.com

Bryan Lane played college hockey at Connecticut College after graduating from Salisbury Prep and enrolling in a post-graduate year at Lawrenceville Prep in New Jersey. In his final year as a collegiate senior, he was voted Most Valuable player by his teammates.

Along with the hockey training that Bryan performs, he also is the Golf Director for BlueStreak and hopes to continue to build a thriving golf training program. He is also a Specialist in Performance Nutrition in which he council's athletes of all ages in proper nutrition needs for all sports. Bryan is an Athletic Republic level 3 certified trainer as well.

Bryan's knowledge of hockey stems from his twenty plus years of playing experience. He has first hand knowledge of the youth, prep and collegiate hockey scene with being a product of all levels. He enjoys working with a wide range of ages and abilities and adapts his training methods to each athlete.

Bryan graduated from Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Jay Clement, Director of Running Operations

In his first year with BlueStreak Jay Clement has made a serious impact at the Stamford facility as a Sports Performance Coordinator. A recent graduate of Sacred Heart University, Jay earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science while also playing 2 years of football for the Division 1AA pioneer football team.

Jay developed his love for athletics in high school where he captained the football, lacrosse and track squads at nearby New Fairfield high school. This leadership experience has benefited BlueStreak greatly as Jay has been a fundamental player in the development of new training programs such as the 4th Quarter Football program.

Prior to BlueStreak Jay served as the senior VP of Ivy Concierge LLC, a personal assistant company started by two Yale graduates. He credits this experience with teaching him customer relations and how to work effectively with people. Jay brings many strengths to the table and BlueStreak is proud to have him as apart of the team.

Jake Laime, Facility Manager, Hauppauge

A Michigan native, Jake spent 2 injury plagued seasons playing professionally in the United Hockey League with 3 different teams (Muskegon Fury, Flint Generals, and the Port Huron Flags) and also had a brief stint in the SPHL with the Jacksonville Barracudas and the PeeDee Cyclones. It wasn't until after he decided to stop playing when Jake found his passion to train and develop young athletes. Jake took a job as the Director of Hockey Operations for "Total Hockey" in Detroit, Michigan. He was also the Head Instructor of Suburban Hockey Schools, Detroits #1 instructional hockey camp. After a year, Jake found the desire to spread his experience and knowledge when he joined the BlueStreak team and re-located to Hauppauge as the Hockey Manager. Jake also serves as the Strength/Conditioning Coach and Assistant Coach for the Suffolk PAL Jr. B team.

In 2007, Jake co-founded "37Hockey" an agency that strives to provide premium player representation for professional hockey players and coaches worldwide. Today "37Hockey" has successfully placed over 25 athletes ranging from the AHL to the SPHL including several leagues overseas. Jake is a Level III certified Athletic Republic trainer and is also certified through the PHPA (Professional Hockey Players Association).

David Volfson, Hockey Specialist

David Volfson graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. David was born in the USSR (Belarus), after spending a couple of years in the states David moved back to Moscow to play with the Soviet Wings organization (team 1984). David returned back to the United States for high school where he played on various junior programs such as the Perry Sound Shamrocks’ (OHA), NY Bobcats, CT Wolves, Boston Bulldogs, and NJ titans. His career was cut short due to three ACL reconstructions and two additional minor knee surgeries.

David’s desire to train young athletes dated back to when he had his third ACL surgery. It was then he realized there needs to be a way to train athletes not only to get faster, stronger, and more agile, but be less likely to suffer major injuries. After learning about BlueStreak Sport Training and their philosophies, he was eager and excited to contribute to their success. With his background in Human Movement Exercise Science and playing competitive hockey in various parts of the world he feels confident in helping young athletes to excel on and off the ice.

Ricky Riechenbach, Hockey Specialist

Bluestreak's hockey specialist, Ricky Riechenbach currently plays professional hockey for the SPHL's Richmond Renegades. He got his start growing up in the hockey rich environment of Syracuse, NY and chose Hamilton College as the place to pursue his collegiate career. At Hamilton Ricky excelled on the ice while also playing lacrosse all 4 years. He was named a senior captain for hockey while winning the Unsung Hero Award back to back years.

Before his days at Hamilton, Ricky developed his work ethic and skills playing junior hockey for the Nepean Raiders. His love for the game has always motivated Ricky to teach and give back to young players. He worked at the Hamilton hockey camp as an instructor for 3 years, as well as Rinx hockey camp for 2 years. Ricky is great at connecting with young athletes and showing them how to have fun while training. It is this enthusiasm and energy that makes Ricky such a valuable member of the Bluestreak team.

Tom Denninger, Sports Performance Coordinator

Tom Denninger graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Movement Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Tom has conducted studies on leg muscle activation during single limb stance and also hip muscle use during the vertical jump. Tom is currently completing his graduate work at Sacred Heart University and will graduate in May of 2008 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in the spring of 2008. He plans to specialize in the prevention and rehabilitation of sports and injury. Throughout both his graduate and undergraduate work Tom has served as a teacher's assistant for the classes of Kinesiology, Pathophysiology, and Strength and Conditioning. Tom is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

At Sacred Heart, Tom was a four year letter winner and three year starter on the offensive line for Sacred Heart’s football team, including a team member on the 2001 I-AA mid-major national championship team. Tom was awarded numerous awards throughout his career including the Bill Tierney Scholar Athlete Award, the Alumni Recognition Award, and the Northeastern Conference Scholar Athlete Award.

Tom Graduated from Newtown High School in Newtown, CT and was a four year letter winner in both football and wrestling.
